
Amber Young has been the Head Dance Coach of the WBHS Dance Team since 2002. The dance team has won best choreography OUT OF 55 TEAMS and Best Costume at various UDA competitions. They are the 2019 National Champions and have won several state and regional titles. The dance team performs at all home football and basketball games, parades, and community events. They dance in honor and in memory of their Spirit Leader, Amelia Keown.
Amber works full time as a Sr. Trust Officer and Vice President at First Horizon Bank. In her spare time, she loves hiking and traveling the world.
Amber was recognized as one of Knoxville Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 in 2017. This award celebrates young leaders who are making a difference in the community. Amber was also recognized for her work as an outstanding volunteer in East Tennessee and was honored with the Corporate Volunteer of the Year Award at the East Tennessee Volunteer Recognition Awards in 2019.
Amber graduated from the University of Tennessee where she was a majorette in the Pride of the Southland Marching Band and on the dance company. She also holds two world baton twirling championship titles. Amber danced and choreographed for the IPFL Tennessee Thundercats Arena Football Dance Team, performed in the 2001 Inauguration Parade in Washington, D.C., and performed in the 1998 Fiesta Bowl Championship Series National Title game.
